Lent is the translation of the Latin word\u00a0 \u201c<\/span>Quadragesima\u201d<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 <\/span>Quaresima in Italian and \u201cCuaresma\u201d in Spanish<\/b> \u2013 that means \u201cforty,\u201d a number of great importance in the Word of God. For it took the people of God 40 years to get from Egypt to the Promised Land. This was God the Father’s message to Moses, the Lord said to him, \u201cI have seen the oppression of my people in Egypt, I have heard their complaints against their oppressors, I have noticed their sufferings. I have come down to deliver them from the Egyptians, to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. The complaint of the Israelites has reached Me, and I have seen how the Egyptians terrorized them. And now, go, I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring My people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:7-10).<\/span><\/p>\n Centuries later, Jesus devoted the first 30 years of His Life to preparing for His Mission on earth, and the Sacred Scripture says that as part of His preparations, He went out into the desert and spent 40 days in prayer and fasting. In the desert, Jesus confronted His greatest enemy, satan, who wanted to change His Mission to come and Save human beings, since the enemy, as is still the case today, had multitudes trapped in his spell. Jesus confronted him, and from that moment on, satan knew that he would not be able to defeat Him, because on that day the Lord resisted the temptations he offered to pursue a different Mission (see Mt 4:1-11). Thereby, Jesus demonstrated that satan\u2019s attacks have no impact and satan\u2019s power to ensnare you in his spell of sin is empowered only by your willingness to accept it. However, if we have had our metanoia (conversion) and opened the door of our hearts to Jesus, we will be able to defeat the enemy, as St. Paul said, \u201cI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me\u201d (cf. Phil. 4:13) and satan will flee, as he did with Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n I encourage you to sincerely reflect on the state of your life during Lent. If you have allowed the enemy to ensnare you in his spell of sin, you must come out of such darkness, for without metanoia (conversion)\u00a0 you may end up as the living dead, and worse still, since your soul is eternal, you may suffer the second death, that is, condemnation in eternal fire under the worst suffering imagined, a suffering without end. Now, you who are still alive have the great opportunity to be received by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with the Love and Mercy of the Father.\u00a0 Jesus\u2019 Life was offered in Sacrifice for you, so that you have the power to resist satan.<\/span><\/p>\n St. John the Baptist said, \u201cI am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, make straight the Way of the Lord, as the prophet Isaiah proclaimed\u201d (Jn. 1:23);\u201cthe time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and Believe in the Good News\u201d (Mark 1:15). During Lent, the Church calls you to draw closer to God and to resist satan. And the reason for you to remember Jesus\u2019 Suffering and His total surrender during Holly Week so that absolutely no one will go to hell, but to Heaven,\u00a0 and experience Eternal Life, a never-ending Life of Happiness and Peace with no more death or suffering, where the Peace of God will be eternal and the Joy of the blessed will be unlimited.<\/span><\/p>\n Recently, at the Metanoia Congress in Mexicali, while greeting hundreds of people, a man named Antonio approached me and told me that years ago, he had attended one of our men’s congresses as a slave of the enemy, a captive of satan\u2019s spells; gripped by vices such as alcoholism and drugs for many years, and that was destroying him. As a father and husband, he caused his family tremendous suffering because of the deep pain he caused his wife and children, who saw their father lost in sin. But he shared with me that at that conference, one day he opened his heart to Jesus and he experienced Him, living out his metanoia (conversion), which literally means to have a change of life, a change of thinking, and from that very day the spell of satan was broken; he gave satan no more power, he gave up his vices. This brother said to me, \u201cThank you, Noel, for what you do for those in most pressing need.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Testimonies like this fill me with the Joy of the Lord every time I hear about the Miracles of metanoia (conversion), knowing that those children had a new father and the wife had a new husband, transformed by the Grace of God. Thousands of testimonies have been shared with me over the years, and it is Jesus doing His Work in theses hearts; I recognize His Love and Power, and I give Glory to His name for each of these metanoias, for each heart that experiences the Love of God through Christ, which is why I will continue to bring the Good News to the world.<\/span><\/p>\n The women of ESNE have just held their 2026 Metanoia Congress. I\u00a0 pray for each one of them who accepted the Lord’s invitation to live this transformational experience. May they preserve, treasure, protect, and persevere in God’s Grace, all the gifts, healings, deliverances, and conversions that Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, with the power of His Word, has poured out on them. Because where Jesus is present, it becomes a place of Miracles, and once again I\u00a0 have seen His Glory manifested. Remember, my friend: \u201cHis Word gives us Life,\u201d so from now on, do not deprive yourself of nourishing; feed on it every day of your existence. For you who experienced conversion, I invite you to pray for each of these women and their families, so that the enemy, \u201cwho prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour\u201d (cf. 1 Pet. 5:8), does not take away the Blessings and Graces received at this Metanoia Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n I am deeply grateful to all of you who contribute your monthly financial seed, it allows ESNE to reach so many hearts so that Jesus can do His Work in them.
